Flower Boy Next Door

Flower Boy Next door is a Korean drama that puts a delightful, modern-day spin on the classic Rapunzel fairy tale. Go Dok Mi is a shy, but beautiful young girl who shuts herself up in her apartment and never ventures out of doors for reasons that have yet to be revealed.

Her job as a freelance copy editor only enables her reclusive inclinations, as well as her love-struck behavior. Before she became a recluse, she observed an attractive young man named Han Tae-joon discover an abandoned puppy in a box and pick it up to take home and adopt as his own while visiting a park on a lovely autumn day. Upon seeing his kind and gentle spirit, Go Dok Mi fell instantly in love with Tae-joon. Much to her own surprise, she looked out her window later only to see him living in the apartment opposite hers, and decided it was destiny. Every day as Tae-joon goes about his daily morning routine, Dok Mi sneaks glances at him using a pair of bright yellow binoculars. Little does she know that her habit of spying on him will link to a surprising chain of events.

Living in the same apartment complex as Dok Mi is Oh Jin-rak, a webtoon artist who is somewhat down on his luck. Recently, he and his collaboration partner, Oh Dong-hoon, have been rejected by syndicates due to the supposed plagiarism from a video game of their latest finished comic, "Zombie Soccer." Enrique Guem, the alleged victim of this plagiarism, arrives in Seoul in order to play cupid for his longtime best friend Yoon Seo-young and his cousin Tae-joon, and catches Dok Mi in the act.
