Warrior Baek Dong Soo

Warrior Baek Dong Soo is a historical drama based on true events. The storyline is filled with tragedy, betrayal and hardships. Each trial the characters face shapes the outcome of the land which was then Joseon, the last dynasty of Korea. The plot of the show centers on Baek Dong Soo from the time of his birth and as he goes through many struggles to become a worthy warrior and take on the challenges of saving Joseon.

Baek Dong Soo's father was beheaded for assisting the crown prince of Joseon with treason against the king. The King became angry and ordered Dong Soo's entire family, including Dong Soo, to death by beheading. In order to prevent unborn Dong Soo's death, master swordsman of Joseon, Kim Kwang-Taek stepped in and hid Dong Soo's mother with the help of Heuk Sa Mo. Kwang-Taek, Heuk Sa Mo and Jang Dae-Pyo were all friends of Dong Soo's father and each one of them plays an important role in shaping the future of Baek Dong Soo.

Dong Soo's mother dies shortly after giving birth to him and it is discovered that he had been in the womb so long that his body was contorted. People thought surely who would never become the great warrior that he became. He was raised by Sa Mo after Kwang-Taek disappeared, and later went on to be trained by Dae-Pyo. He later becomes part of the Kings task force and is pitted against an organized group of assassins who are determined to end the life of Joseon's King.

Baek Dong Soo meets many people that assist and shape his greatness throughout the series but the biggest impact comes from a childhood rival named Yeo Woon. The exact opposite of Dong Soo, Yeo Woon mastered the many arts of war quickly, and was recruited by Heuksa Chorong, the league of assassins. He befriends and trains with Dong Soo as an assignment for the guild of assassins and eventually ends up betraying his friend and making the biggest impact for Baek Dong Soo, one of the greatest warriors Korea ever bore.
